“Single player, turn-based, tactical Star Wars” sounds really good, actually
We’re just days out from the return of Andor to Disney+, and we’re definitely getting into the Star Wars mood. We like Star Wars games, even if they’re not great, but especially if they ARE great, and ALWAYS if they’re a surprise idea. That’s what Electronic Arts, Respawn Entertainment and Bit Reactor are hoping for with the announcement of their new game, Star Wars Zero Company. Bit Reactor is made up of ex-Firaxis folk, so you can tell that the team knows its assignment.
The project brings a turn-based spin to the IP, as it leans heavily on tactical play. It’s set for PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S and PC. That’s all we really know about the game, unfortunately. We can analyze the key art above, which shows Jedi, bounty hunters and droids alike, but we won’t have to wait long to find out more. The game will have a dedicated panel at Star Wars Celebration Japan this weekend at 4:30 PM JST (3:30AM ET/12:30AM PT) on Saturday, April 19.
The panel SHOULD be streamed this weekend. More info will likely pop up on the official game page here: Star Wars Zero Company
