Learn about the Switch 2’s new features in a collection of tutorial mini games
The Switch 2 may seem like it has A LOT of stuff built into it, and that’s probably because it does. The current OG Switch still has a lot of charm and neat ideas that maybe aren’t as utilized as much, and the new console even moreso. Nintendo wants to make that an easier thing to explore, and has revealed a new app, Nintendo Swicth 2 Welcome Tour, to help guide new owners around what might make the platform great.
The “virtual exhibition” will give players an inside look at the console’s features using minigames and tutorials. Want to know a secret in the system? They’ll show you. Want to feel a ball on the putting green with better HD rumble? A goling minigame will give that to you. Want to see what’s in the Joy Con 2? Let’s walk around there and find out.
It seems like a great idea, and something that should be built into the Switch 2 already, but unfortunately potential players will have to buy it from the eShop. Hopefully it’s more than just a rough collection of games, or else it may be something missable.
Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour launches alongside the Switch 2 on June 5 for an undisclosed amount of money in the US (about 990 Yen in Japan).
