Elden Ring, Cyberpunk 2077, Final Fantasy VII Remake and more come to Switch 2 in 2025

Third parties support with ports for the Nintendo Switch 2

Nintendo brought out the big guns for partner support during the Switch 2 Direct today, revealing a massive amount of games from partner studios and publishers. Many of these games would essentially be impossible on the original Switch, so bringing them to Switch 2 would have been the only option. And, they look pretty good. In all, over 46 games were featured in a blitz of trailers and info.

FromSoftware had a few surprises for Nintendo fans, and Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition was one of them. The GOTY action RPG had been missed by the company’s fans for a while now, and seems to fully take the Skyrim position as a strong port to the console later in the year. Electronic Arts will bring EA FC to the console and for the first time since the Wii U’s start will also bring Madden over with Madden 26 later in 2025. Cyberpunk 2077, Hogwarts Legacy (with mouse controls), Hitman: World of Assassination, Split Fiction and at least 13 more will launch alongside the platform.

Also making it out this year are WWE 2K, NBA 2K, Hades 2, Tony Hawk 3 & 4, Deltarune 1-4, Borderlands 4, Kunitsu-Gami, Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut and Civilization VII (also with mouse controls).

Street Fighter 6 is launching with a special Year 1-2 Fighters Edition that brings 26 characters and new Switch 2 specific modes, Gyro Battle and Calorie Contest, that use Joy Con motion controls. Also coming on launch day for the Switch 2 will be 3 amiibo and 22 amiibo cards for the game.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade finally brings a newer Final Fantasy to the console, as the special edition (featuring the added story) make it to the console this year.

Square Enix fans don’t have to go anywhere to enjoy more gaming, as on launch day they’ll be treated to Bravely Default Flying Fairy HD Remaster, a ramke of the original handheld game featuring new HD visuals and tons of new features and mini games.
