Who needs Mario when DONKEY KONG is back
After a highly successful showing in the Super Mario Bros Movie, Donkey Kong is fully back in our mindset. With that, Nintendo has revealed Donkey Kong Bananza, a new 3D platforming DK game, exclusive for Switch 2.
First of all, that name. AMAZING.
In this first new 3D Kong game in generations, the redesigned Donkey Kong will power through his world bashing barrels, enemies, and eating bananas. DK can dig, roll attack, punch, and even ride on top of terrain like a sled. The game will even have 2D sidescrolling and kart levels, and what looks like terrain destruction.
Its unknown which studio within Nintendo is developing the game, but it sure has the Mario Odyssey look and feel to it.
The game launches exclusively for Switch 2 on July 17 for $69.99. More will be revealed about Donkey Kong Bananza soon.
