The first Tomodachi Life game in 10 years looks like it’ll be worth the wait
At today’s Nintendo Direct, the company revealed a new game in the Tomodachi Life series, Living the Dream. The game brings the characters onto a new island, complete with a full town, buildings, streets, events and more.
And dreams, apparently! Not only will characters enjoy the regular in-game world, but it sure seems like weird things might happen if the players doze off. Giant Miis? Yes, please and thank you.
The previous Tomodachi Life games, the last of which was on the 3DS, brought a quirky social construct to gaming in which players interacted with townsfolk in an almost life-like way, helping solve issues, forming bonds, and even having kids that can grow up and leave us. On the 3DS one of the best features was Street Pass integration, which brought characters in from other players’ consoles.

As excited as we are for the game, the video ended with a bit of a downer in that IT WON’T BE AVAILABLE UNTIL 2026!
Ah well, we’ll be ready!
