Pata-pata-pata this on my console ASAP
During Nintendo’s pre-Switch 2 Direct last week, several game announcements dropped that made us giddy. One of them was a bright surprise, because it heralded the return of a couple of classic games that have been sorely missed. Bandai Namco alongside Sony Interactive Entertainment and developer SAS revealed that PATAPON is coming back! At least, the original two games. IN ONE PACKAGE. REMASTERED.
Patapon 1+2 Replay brings together those games alongside some new accessibility and difficulty-adjusting features, while retaining the same core challenge and gameplay. It’s those same games from 2007 & 2008, but now more people can play them, any way they want.
SO FREAKING COOL.
The games have real simple controls, just tap along to the beat that the drums make: Pata (←), Pon (→), Don (↓), Chaka (↑). That’s the gist of it. Alongside clean visuals with terrific animation, the game has been a fan favorite for almost two decades now.
Patapon 1+2 Replay arrives on Switch, PlayStation 5, and PC (Steam) on July 11.
