The masters of horror adventure games are back with a sci-fi take
Supermassive Games’ Dark Pictures Anthology is a mainstay across gaming over the last several years. The developer has carved out a definite niche in their style of adventure games by focusing on horror stories, but for the most part they’ve stayed on this here planet.
Well not so fast, human!
Their next game, Directive 8020, takes the genre to space, and while it’s not like we haven’t seen scary space stuff we definitely be interested in their spin on it. As shown in today’s PlayStation State of Play, the story trailer for the game reveals a whole bunch of monster mayhem: an alien that can take any form, human replacements, interpersonal issues, heartache, and also SCARY SPACE.
Sure! Count us in! Esoteric, baby!
Directive 8020 is scheduled to arrive on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Steam this year.
