The internet is EXPENSIVE now, please send help
Hey friends! SideQuesting started over 15 years ago when a few friends (Yaniv, Ryan and myself) got together to podcast and write about games. More friends joined, our community expanded, and we became a bit of a family with so many of us connecting in ways the original founders couldn’t imagine.
We grew the site from a little blog to… well, we’re still a little blog, but things aren’t cheap any more. SideQuesting costs around $250-$300 to run each month (this includes web & podcast hosting, domain, email, livestreaming software, etc) and over the years it’s been at least $50k-$65k to run. That’s a car! Maybe two! That’s also a college degree! And a nice down payment on a house!
So, we’re looking to chip away at that monthly total a little bit, and have kicked up our first ever Patreon for the site to help. We’re only looking to knock down that monthly, but in the event that we somehow end up with a surplus then that extra will go right into prizes and giveaways for the community and at PAX. We’ll be completely transparent, because I think it’s easy to do so.
