Dragon Quest III HD2D Remake is looking so, so good

Prepare to win the LOTO with this remake

Dragon Quest III HD2D Remake is hitting all of our platforms in November, and the last few weeks have brought so many new videos and info that we’re salivating. It’s true, our screens are wet. The game is looking absolutely gorgeous, as the updates to Square Enix’s HD2D formula is bringing glistening pixelated joy to the screen.

The most recent GAMEPLAY trailer will give you an idea at how this game will improve over the original Dragon Quest III (Dragon Warrior 3 for us in the US).

Monsters will be important to the game, and we’ve got a new Monster Wrangler vocation to treat us to some neat effects. Essentially, players will be able to utilize monster attacks and abilities in battle and on the world map, and will actually control the monsters in the arena (instead of just betting on them like in the original game).

And just today we’ve been treated to an overview trailer for the game that details the game’s story and world. We’re the child of the famous Ortega, and it’s on us to recruit party members and jobs and make our way out. The video essentially serves as a way for first-timers new to Dragon Quest to see what it’s about.

The company also posted a special video detailing one of the many sidequests in the game, focusing on the cursed sleeping village of Norvik and exploring the Underground Lake.

Hnngh. IT LOOKS SO GOOD, ALL OF IT.

Dragon Quest III HD2D Remake is out on November 14th on Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
