The classics make their valiant return to modern platforms
Announced during Sony’s State of Play today, GungHo is bringing the Lunar games back in a new edition. Lunar Remastered Collection will package Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete and Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Complete into one package with updated HD visuals, music, and plenty of quality of life improvements to bring them up to snuff with modern retro.
The original games were released in the early 90s on platforms like the SEGA CD and SEGA Saturn, before hopping onto the PlayStation, PC and even mobile years later. But now, the remade versions look to finally capture the nostalgia we had for these excellent RPGs in a cleaner, updated way.
The remasters are being handled by the same team behind the Grandia HD Collection, so they’re in some good hands. Lunar Remastered Collection arrives on PlayStation, Xbox, Switch and PC in Spring 2025.
