Please don’t eat your pets
Everyone is talking about eating cats and dogs — PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS. That’s because ALF is doing all of that anyways. You remember ALF, right? The ILLEGAL ALIEN from Melmac whose real name is GORDON SHUMWAY? He loved pizza and cats.
Well, there have actually been a bunch of games based on the show, and the very first one was ALF: The First Adventure. What a name. I played this Pac-Man like game way back in the 80s through DOS on my Tandy 1000HX. It wasn’t good! But it existed, and for that reason we thank it.
The game tasks ALF with avoiding the Fuzz and capturing cacts — but in order to do so players need to navigate the maze of a city and grab enough pizzas. That sounds normal!
Anyhoo, you can play the game now, too. The Internet Archive hosts the game, playable through its DOSBox emulation. Check it out here, and eat all of the cats you want.
