Don’t call it Ghost of TWOshima (or do, actually)
During today’s State of Play ahead of Tokyo Game Show, Sony and Sucker Punch revealed Ghost of Yōtei, the sequel to 2020’s excellent Ghost of Tsushima.
The game focuses on a new Ghost, Atsu, and her journey more than 300 years after the events of Tsushima. The setting this time covers the area around Mount Yōtei (visible in the trailer) and the Ezo area, which is in modern day Japan’s Hokkaido.
The game will have the open world and exploration of the first game, but now that it’s built for the ground up for PS5 the dev team is able to pack more into the world, into Atsu’s abilities, and even in animals — there’s a wolf that really seems to be a big part of the story.
Ghost of Yōtei launches in 2025 exclusively for PS5 & PS5Pro, and probably a couple years later for PC if the latest trend continues.
