Coming September to obliterate our wallets

Well, FFFFFFFUUUUUUUDGE. I’m screwed. That’s it. LEGO *continues* to put out cool sets, and this may be the holy grail set of video game geekdom. It’s a Ganon-damned son of a birch stunning Great Deku Tree. From the Legend of Zelda. NINTENDO’S LEGEND OF ZELDA.

Zelda sets have been submitted for creations for eons, but none ever made it through. With Nintendo and LEGO doing the IP work to bring Mario and Animal Crossing to the brick world, it was only a matter of time before something else blasted through the portal.

The massive set is a 2-in-1, meaning that owners can build either the Breath of the Wild or the Ocarina of Time Deku Trees, based on their mood. Each comes with minifigs — Adult Link and Young Link for Ocarina, and Link and Zelda for the BOTW’s iteration.

They both look WONDERFUL.

And you know what sucks? You’ll have to buy it twice because you’ll want to build both versions. That’d be a breeze if it wasn’t for the fact that the set is a chonky $299 and contains 2500 pieces.

Ha.

The LEGO Legend of Zelda Great Deku Tree Set 77092 arrives on September 1st, and can be preordered at LEGO.com. Sigh. Time to work a second job.
