Monster Hunter Wilds shows off in first gameplay trailer

Open world huntin’, y’allllll

MonHun is coming back, and it’s coming back in a big way. During today’s State of Play Capcom showed off Monster Hunter Wilds, the next giant iteration in the series. First revealed in December, the new trailer reveals a new mount, new characters, and BIG MONSTERS. Everything seems to be dynamic, focusing on improved AI and interactions. The world itself will shift and change based on the conditions, causing the monsters themselves to react differently.

The new mount is the Seikret, a nimble monster that can use its sense of smell to take players to specific quest areas as well as being a place to switch to a secondary weapon without heading back to base. And, a new update to the slinger tool will even allow it to grab items from afar.

Monster Hunter Wilds launches in 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.
