Grand Theft Block Out Other Game Releases
Move out of the way, gaming industry: Fall 2025 belongs to Grand Theft Auto. In its latest financial release, Take-Two moved the GTA VI launch window from the nebulous “fiscal 2025” to Fall 2025. That timing essentially obliterates other games launching in that window, as the next GTA is likely to sell millions of copies in its initial launch.
“Our outlook reflects a narrowing of Rockstar Games’ previously established window of Calendar 2025 to Fall of Calendar 2025 for Grand Theft Auto VI. We are highly confident that Rockstar Games will deliver an unparalleled entertainment experience, and our expectations for the commercial impact of the title continue to increase.”
With a PS5 Pro expected this year, and an all-digital Xbox Series X expected soon too, next year could be a make or break year for the latest platforms — and GTA might just be what puts them over.
