EA’s College Football 25 looks so freaking good in first gameplay

The OG stadium meter is back!

Electronic Arts has shared the first gameplay video of EA College Football 25, and it’s looking pretty good. Pretty, pretty, pretty good.

The game will focus on a host of new aspects, but perhaps one that we’re most excited about is called Campus IQ. This includes “All 22+”, which brings 80 abilities for players, really helping to push that differentiation and making games feel more realistic and fluid. It also includes different playstyles between all of the colleges, and finally the gameday emotions that pump up players and their fans during the games themselves.

Wear and Tear is a new system that will focus on the impact that in-game “damage” has on the athletes. Does someone’s right arm or left knee keep getting hit? That will reflect in how they play and what playcalls work best for them. And for those of us who keep track of what the defense is calling, the entire Option system has been reworked so that changing in-game plays on the fly is more important than ever.

EA Sports College Football 25 arrives on July 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
