Did we mention wild?
I’m normally not into free-to-play RPGs, but Ballad of Antara‘s premise seems pretty interesting. The F2P game from Tipsworks Studio and Infold Games is an action RPG in which players control characters that traverse between two “worlds”, based on their desire to play in normalville or wildtown (I named those just now).
It’s set to have a deep narrative, with the focus on advancing the story through typical F2P types of missions and twists, but it’s that dual shifting world nature that stands out. Oh, and like many other F2P RPGs it’ll also be multiplayer for up to 4 in a squad. It’s a Souls-like, so be ready to get mildly angry at some of the quests.
The enemy and world design looks great, and since it’s technically free we don’t have too much to worry to try it out on PS5 when it launches in 2025.
