Four player co-op puppy action!
Bluey and her family have already dominated television sets for a while now, but the puppy is finally about to do the same to video game consoles. Outright Games have announced Bluey: The Videogame for release later this year. The co-op game will allow fans of the show (AKA all of humanity, please) to play at their own pace, with the ability to engage in the full story, take on side stories, or just walk around Bluey’s world.
It’s a freeform way to experience the four part story arc that is the basis of the plot, and it’s squarely aimed at kids and their families. The visual style puts the show’s pleasing 2D aesthetic into a (very) pseudo 3D world, so that players can move fore and aft into the playfield. It’s obviously meant to be an accessible way to experience the layers of the world.
After Outright Games’ surprisingly good Peppa Pig projects (RIP Queen Elizabeth) then we feel like Bluey is in good hands. Err, paws.
Bluey: The Videogame arrives on all platforms on November 17th.
