A nostalgia play that lands firmly on its feet
A reimagined Atari 2600 game that never existed, Mr Run and Jump has a nostalgic platforming loop that adds some nice speedrunning hooks. In the review above, Dali and J.J. explain how the game’s design had us scratching them scratching their heads to try and remember if this was actually a game or not.
Hint: it’s not!
That made-up nostalgia doesn’t stop it from being an enjoyable experience, allowing for both pixel-perfect and accessible modes, and plenty of collectibles to push us towards 100% completion.
