EA formally announces Black Panther game in the works

Casting a new light onto shadows of Wakanda

There are more Marvel games on the way. Spider-man 2. Wolverine. Captain America & The Black Panther. Iron Man.

Will it ever stop? Nah. Companies LIKE MONEY.

And we like games, obviously. While there has already been an announced team-up game with Captain America & Black Panther on the way, the Wakandan hero now has their own game coming.

The news was dropped today by Cliffhanger Games, the new studio within Electronic Arts based out of Seattle that will be handling the development.

The studio includes developers that worked on games like Shadow of Mordor, and with the project notedly being described as a third person action adventure we have high hopes that some of that DNA will make its way into this new project.

And it’s early. VERY early. Don’t expect to hear much more on this likely for years, including platforms, as the team is ramping up and hiring several positions.

Hopefully the game doesn’t take “Wakanda Forever” too literally in its development timing.
