The next giant Star Wars game goes fully open world(s)
During today’s Xbox Games Showcase, Ubisoft revealed the first details and trailer for its 2021-announced Star Wars game. Star Wars Outlaws will take the galaxy and make it open world. Or is that Open Galaxy? Hmm. I’ll workshop that.
Outlaws stars Kay Vess, an up-and-coming “scoundrel” that’s looking to make her mark in the galaxy’s underworld. She’ll be joined by her companion, Nix, as the two will join (or take on) crime syndicates across planets and ships to earn glory and a better life.
The trailer shows us action adventure gameplay in a variety of biomes and in vehicles, including speeder bikes. Sweet!
Star Wars Outlaws is due in 2024 on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC. It’ll get a gameplay showing at Ubisoft’s Forward event on Monday. More info here: https://www.starwars.com/news/star-wars-outlaws
