Forget your remakes, it’s time to go 2(point five)D again
At Summer Game Fest, Ubisoft revealed its new Prince of Persia game — and it’s actually not an old game! With the Sands of Time remake in limbo, Ubisoft has actually announced a brand new game in the series. Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is a 2.5D return for the series, focusing on the more classic gameplay that made it popular in the 90s. It’s been 13 years since the last game, so we’re finally getting some fresh Prince.
The Lost Crown is a metroidvania, so expect to be hopping around, collecting weapons and tools to open areas, and taking on a bunch of wild enemies.
Looks neat! The Lost Crown arrives on all platforms (INCLUDING AMAZON LUNA!) on January 18, 2024.
