Hell yeah, Forza Motorsport finally arrives in October

The next game takes Forza down new roads

Xbox and Turn 10 finally gave us a release date for Forza Motorsport. The companies revealed that the game will hit Xbox Series, Game Pas, PC and Cloud on October 10, 2023, and bring with it — hold onto your bucket seats — 500 CARS! That also includes 20 rebuilt tracks with 5 never before seen in a racing game. Two of those cars that you can race on those tracks are the cover cars, the 2023 No.01 Cadillac Racing V-Series.R racecar and 2024 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray.

HOT. SPEED. WANT.

Here’s where I nerd out as a Car Guy. Okay. Eaglerock Speedway walls? Hell yes. Is that the Eau Rouge corner? MY GOD. HAKONE?! WTF.

800 CUSTOMIZATIONS?!

Turn 10 has also detailed out the game’s career mode in a new video. The career mode is known as the “Builders Cup” and is where I’ll earn those 800 upgrades.

Forza Motorsport is dropping the number in its title for this latest game, likely due to the increasingly service aspect of the title. In past games we’d race, collect cars, grab a little DLC, and that’d be it. We MIGHT be able to import some of those cars into the next Forza we buy, but it felt more like fluffing out our collection than anything else. This game clearly wants to grow and shift and adjust with features and content as it continues. It’s not a FULL live service game, but it has enough elements that should keep us playing it for a long time as a platform.

FORZA. October.
