Thirsting for droids again, we are
The other day, Ubisoft revealed the first trailer for Star Wars: Outlaws and had us drooling. Now, they’ve revealed actual gameplay and we know what we’re drooling over — or maybe who.
THE DROID.
Hell yeah.
As we noted, the game is an open world (OPEN GALAXY, COME ON) action adventure starring new character Kay Vess as she takes on a major heist to try and come away with glory. She’s joined by her little axolotl-alien buddy Nix as the gameplay showcases them sneaking through an underworld base and escaping via speeder bikes. Nix can run around (fairly) undetected to activate switches and do some lite combat to help Vess as she either sneaks or shoots her way through some admittedly gorgeous environments. The gameplay demo ends with her escaping from another base, hopping into her ship, the Trailblazer, and then seamlessly (and a little slowly) transitioning into space to combat an Empire fleet.
COOL!
But that droid tho. At one point in the mission, Kay meets ND-5, a droid who looks like he can definitely fuck shit up if he wants to, and likely does. We’re thirsty, y’all.

Star Wars: Outlaws is set to arrive in 2024 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, but WE REALLY WANT TO PLAY IT RIGHT NOW.
