Blade Runner to be the company’s first in-house game
I’m a Blade Runner nut. I’ve watched the movies, the animated works, read books, played games. Count me in. I have Syd Mead in my veins. Whenever a new Blade Runner game is announced, my ears perk up.
Annapurna Interactive has done just that, revealing Blade Runner 2033: Labyrinth in a showcase stream today.
I… don’t know what kind of game this is. I don’t think anyone outside of the company does (it’s their first in-house developed game). The moody ass moody trailer has that future noir feel of the films, with visuals that blip back and forth, settling on eyeballs and feral animals, landscapes and city scenes. It looks like a very cool theme video. Is it a 3rd person action game? Is it more like LA Noir? Is it a detective visual novel? I have no idea.
What we DO know is that it’s set in 2033 (see!) just after the Blackout, and will launch on consoles and PC whenever it does.
