BYOC – Bring your own (Quake) con
You can keep track of ALL of the events coming up this Summer RIGHT HERE in our handy dandy Summer 2023 Video Game Events List.
QuakeCon has been virtual for several years now, but before then it had a big presence in person. Now, Bethesda has announced that this year’s show will indeed return to its former glory, taking place at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas from Thursday, August 10 to Sunday, August 13.
The event will be focused on BYOC (Bring Your Own Computer), and will be ticketed only for the in-person aspect. The floor will have plenty for fans to do, as Bethesda bills it as a giant LAN party in a bid to recapture its origins. There will be tournaments, meetups, giveaways, events, and more for fans in attendance. Registration is now live at the website here.
In addition to the IRL side, the show’s usual keynotes and panels will be streamed online for all to watch. In the past we’ve seen games and DLC and products revealed at the show, so this year we’ll be hopeful for more info on current and maybe even announced projects. Those can be watched on YouTube & Twitch.
