Right next to PAX West in Seattle
You can keep track of ALL of the events coming up this Summer RIGHT HERE in our handy dandy Summer 2023 Video Game Events List.
Things are about to get crowded in the SCC Summit Building. The once Seattle Convention Center has expanded, and now will play host to a combination of PAX West and Nintendo Live 2023 from September 1st-4th, 2023. Nintendo has revealed the news of their upcoming event’s date and location, which will take place in the same general area as PAX but in a separate section. The show will be a weekend-long collection of concerts, tournaments, shopping, meetups, cosplay, and other events that fans can engage in.
While the events are being held simultaneously, they’re not technically connected. That is, getting a ticket for PAX West won’t automatically get you in to Nintendo Live, and vice versa. Rather, there will be a chance for PAX attendees to win a pass to the Nintendo event (more details to come).
Fans that *just* want to go to Nintendo Live will need to register for a chance to get an invite through the event’s website. In order to do so, fans will need to have have a Nintendo Account and be at least 18 years of age. Families are allowed, if the account holders are linked. Registration will take place from May 31st through June 22nd.
Here’s the official info from Nintendo:
- First, visit the Nintendo Live website and register for an opportunity to be randomly selected to receive free tickets. The registration period starts on May 31 at 9 a.m. PT and will remain open until June 22 at 11:59 p.m. PT.
- Eligible Nintendo Account holders who are at least 18 years old can register for the drawing. You can easily sign up for an account here if you don’t already have one.
- For groups of two or more, each attendee with their own Nintendo Account must be linked to the same free Nintendo Account Family group. This ensures that all parties in the same group can attend together and on the same day.
- If selected, attendance will be for one event day. More details about registering for and visiting Nintendo Live 2023 can be found on the Nintendo Live website.
Does that all sound a bit confusing? Yeah. Same. Basically it boils down to: you MIGHT win a pass if you’re going to PAX, but otherwise you’ll need to register for a slightly better chance to win a pass (if you’re a Nintendo Account holder).
Whew!
Anyhoo, head to the official site for more info.
