Set sails for the 2D co-op platformer this Summer
Nintendo and Disney have revealed more information about the upcoming Disney Illusion Island. The game, a sort of spiritual successor to Castle of Illusion, features up to four players taking on the roles of the famous pals (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy) as they make their way through a cartoon-inspired island full of traps and obstacles.
Teamwork is a big aspect of the experience, as friendship-based actions help with solving puzzles and surviving. Examples include hugs that restore health, leapfrogging to get jump boosts, and the ability to drop a rope to help friends get up to different platforms. While co-op is certainly the focus, the game can be played alone.
Disney Illusion Island launches exclusively on Switch on July 28th.
