Well well well, Loki what we got here
God of War: Ragnarök has broken the line and become Sony’s fastest-selling first party PlayStation game of all time. The company revealed the news on the dead platform, Twitter, so no one saw it — but we’re here to fill you in!
The highly-anticipated game was likely the one that all PlayStation 5 owners had been looking forward to, especially after the highs of 2018’s excellent God of War. The game sold 5.1 Million copies in its first week across PS5 & PS4, and is sure to keep that trend going through the holidays and its eventual landing on Steam in a few years once the console release has been milked dry.
Ragnarök follows the story a few years after the events of 2018’s game, with the world on the precipice of chaos and Kratos still needing to be a dad to that unruly kid of his. Much of the same characters return, but with this sequel a lot of them are angrier.
Vikings, amiright?
