Feast your eyes on these deets
Happy Thanksgiving, America! And to the rest of the world CD Projekt RED would like to say Happy Thursday! Either way, it’s cause for celebration as the developer has dropped details about its forthcoming next-gen (it should be current-gen by now, right?) update for The Witcher 3: WIld Hunt.
The update will be free for all owners of the game and will arrive on December 14th (later for the Switch). Here’s what that update entails, according to CDPR:
- Ray Tracing, improved Screen Space Reflections, improved foliage, and better textures
- Camera, controls and UI changes, including alternate camera options, alternate Quick Sign Casting option, map filtering, the option to dynamically hide the minimap
- Photo mod
- Integrated mods
- Fixes to several quests
- DLC based on the Netflix show, including “alternative looks for Dandelion and Nilfgaardian soldiers, as well as a new quest, inspired by the show, where you’ll be able to get diagrams for new equipment for Geralt”
- Cross-progression across platforms
This all comes alongside the news recently that Henry Cavill will be leaving his role as Geralt on the Netflix show, with Liam Hemsworth set to take over starting with Season 4.
Anyways, we eatin’, and I don’t mean just turkey.
