An ONSLAUGHT of microtransactions, probably
Mortal Kombat is hitting its 30th anniversary, and to celebrate the legacy NetherRealm Studios have announced a BRAND NEW game!
A mobile game!
Please be excited.
Mortal Kombat: Onslaught actually sounds kinda interesting, if you’re into mobile collection RPGs. All the rage these days, the genre is generally based on the capability to add an endless amount of characters fairly easily, and to also get people to pay for all of those characters fairly easily too. Disney have been kicking butt with their collection RPGs on phones (Marvel’s Contest of Champions was pretty decent, as is Strike Force and Future Fight) and now WB and NetherRealm are tapping into that fever.
The game will allow players to assemble a squad of fighters to battle through an RPG with an “exclusive new story” set in the MK universe.
I hope there’s a Blood Code. And Ermac!
Mortal Kombat: Onslaught arrives on your phone’s diminishing hard drive space in 2023.
