Say namor — just watch the trailer
At SDCC today, Marvel debuted the applause-worthy first teaser trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The sequel takes place in a post-T’Challa world, with his family shattered and an oncoming war with Atlantis (as first teased in Endgame).
The country’s sudden downfall bears a heavy weight on Queen Ramonda (played by Angela Bassett), as her son, and King of Wakanda, T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman) is now gone. We don’t know how just yet, but it may have something to do with Atlantis and its Prince Namor (played by Tenoch Huerta), who’s finally revealed in the film. Namor, for those who aren’t up to date, was the first Marvel superhero, and also its first Mutant. Wakanda and Atlantis have a long history of war, and the film could begin with the consequences of that brewing battle.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever arrives in theaters November 11, 2022.
