And yes, we’re very excited for the aesthetic game
Annapurna Interactive’s Neon White has been on our radar since it was announced last year, and the publisher has now revealed a new trailer and release date.
The game, an ultra-aesthetically tuned FPS, mixes elements of the supernatural with sci-fi as players run, shoot, and blast their way through levels. It has a seemingly parkour element to it as well, as traversal looks to be a big part of the experience. Players take on the role of White, a gun-for-hire tasked with exterminating demons in Heaven. The combat takes place with all sorts of tools, and utilizes a sort of card-based system for special effects and attacks. As other demon slayers arrive to do the same, it becomes a race to the top of the charts — with the winner making it into Heaven eternally themself.
Developed by Donut County‘s Ben Esposito, Neon White looks like a definite way to class up our gaming habits as it launches on Switch and PC on June 16th.
