The evil is very resident in the upcoming first person adventure
Yo, Zach, check this out. You already know that New Blood Interactive is known for nostalgia inspired first person adventure games often imbued with nightmare fuel. Dusk is fantastic, Faith is often terrifying. Now, Gloomwood looks to continue the trend with an equally terrifying horror experience.
Saddle up. In Gloomwood, you’ll play the role of a character who’s been abducted and dropped into a Victorian frightfest. The citizens of the town are out for blood, as are the monsters you’ll come across, and it’s up to you to survive using any weapons and items you find. Watch the blocky fear flow in this experience. For real, watch it.
The game even includes a very familiar homage to item storage screens of yore, as you have to manage the items you find and carry, and either dropping or rearranging them as needed.
It really looks like your kind of jam. I hope you’re interested and your hype level is high, because it hits Early Access on August 16th.
