BOO! SCREAM! Supermassive Games reveal The Quarry horror game

A great new blood-curdling entry in the horror genre

Supermassive Games are masters of cinematic horror in video games, what with their most excellent Until Dawn and Man from Medan titles, among so many others, and now they’re back with their latest project. The Quarry is a teen horror game set in a summer camp where bodies are dropping and escape is almost impossible.

Players will choose from one of 9 camp counsellors and control their actions and choices throughout the events of the night, which just so happens to be the last night of the camp, with the story unfolding differently and from different viewpoints each time.

Supermassive and 2K are calling it a “cinematic” experience, which roughly translate to what we might call a “choice based adventure” game in which there’s less action and more thought and response to guide the gameplay. Players can even work with up to 7 online friends as they help choose outcomes for the story.

The Quarry arrives June 10th for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC via Steam.
