New retro action RPG to launch next week
Berzerk Studio & The Arcade Crew’s Infernax was announced just a short 3 months ago, and it’s already about to land on our gaming dinner plates. The studio & publisher have revealed that the game, a retro-tastic mashup of classic side-scrolling action RPG genres, will launch next week on February 14th, also known as VALENTINE’S DAY.
It’s a perfect way to show love, actually: make demon’s bodies explode in gore and fire. The game is a platformer that has a strong Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest backbone to it with some Zelda II: the Adventure of Link RPG sprinklings. This modern take will throw in added elements of moral choice and actions that can provoke characters you help (or hurt) to remember your actions later for some branching paths and new sidequests and missions. This can also lead to multiple endings which, especially because of Berzerk energetic ideas, are *chef’s kiss* perfect for replayability.
Infernax lands on PC/Steam, Switch, Xbox, and PlayStation platforms next week.
