There’s no way home, but there still might be
For anyone that’s already seen Spider-man: No Way Home, the trailer above may not be a surprise — it was featured as the final post-credits scene of the film. However, if you somehow haven’t seen the film yet, or just want to rewatch it over and over, Marvel has just dropped it to the unwashed masses.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness picks up after the events of WandaVision, Loki, the animated series What If?, and No Way Home, directly tying all of those together. Marvel is going head-first into the Multiverse with Phase 4 of the MCU, bringing different iterations of characters together to battle each other. The latest Phase will further be emboldened with 2023’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, which will bring Kang the Conqueror to the big screen as the big Marvel enemy after his stint on Loki earlier this year.
Either way, the trailer is full of fan service and links to seemingly everything before it. Multiverse of Madness arrives in theaters on May 6, 2022.
