Upcoming collection brings 14 games together in nostalgic bundle
Classic game collections have been popping up all over the place over the last several years, and while we’ve already had a Namco Museum series, we haven’t had something fully dedicated to Pac-Man. Bandai Namco, the publisher of the series, knows they’re missing out on some good cash without a compilation so they’ve decided to release one.
The Pac-Man Museum + brings together 14 games from the series in one bundle, from the original arcade hit to many of its variations and strange platforming takes over the years. They are:
- Pac-Man
- Super Pac-Man
- Pac & Pal
- Pac-Land
- Pac-Mania
- Pac-Attack
- Pac-in-Time
- Pac-Man Arrangement Arcade Ver.
- Pac-Man Arrangement CS Ver.
- Pac-Man Championship Edition
- Pac Motos
- Pac ‘n Roll Remix
- Pac-Man Battle Royale
- Pac-Man 256
The experience is set up like an arcade in which the player, as Pac-Man, completes missions to earn coins. Coins can then be spent on items based on the IP used to decorate the arcade center, giving each player their own customizable place.
It seems like a nice homage to where many of us geezers first found Pac-Man, and perhaps the entire package can do that for even more players when it launches in early 2022 on PlayStation, Switch, Xbox, and PC.
