Rhythm runner developed by Choice Provisions
Are you a Bit.Trip Runner fan? If not, you really should be. Choice Provisions has done magic with its breakthrough rhythm running parkour game, and we’ve really enjoyed it over the years.
Well, they’re now applying that running formula to… League of Legends?
The company has partnered with Riot Forge, the IP magic arm of Riot Games, to develop Hextech Mayhem: A League of Legends Story.
If it seems like a strange combination, have no fear. The game stars (H)explosives expert Ziggs as they run, jump, and explode their way over and through obstacles in the town of Piltover. The goal is to build the greatest bomb ever, which is totally a safe and cool idea. The game will incorporate a “Freestyle Mayhem System” to catch more air time and bonus points while running.
Runner-style games aren’t story heavy, and this certainly feels exactly in that vein, but at least it’s giving a slightly different flavor to the genre. It launches on November 16th on PC, Switch, and within Netflix’s app on mobile platforms, just in time for the debut of the (really good) League of Legends animated series on the streaming service, Arcane.
