Collection coming November 11th to platforms
The Grand Theft Auto Trilogy collection has been given a firm date by Rockstar Games, and a snappy new trailer. The games, which will land on November 11th, will feature several improvements, both in interface and visual fidelity.
The controls have been modernized, with “improvements to targeting and lock-on aiming, updated Weapon and Radio Station Wheels” as well as “updated Mini-Maps with enhanced navigation allowing players to set waypoints to destinations.” The Nintendo Switch version features motion and touch controls including Gyro aiming, and the PC version includes support for NVIDIA DLSS.
Visually, the game will include new textures for backgrounds, new lighting, and a re-done character style that almost makes the world feel more cartoon-like.
It still includes a lower number of polygons, so don’t expect it to be a wholesale change a la Final Fantasy VII Remake.
The collection arrives on Xbox, Playstation, Switch and PC on November 11th, and on mobile platforms in January. Additionally, Game Pass subscribers will receive a standalone Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas – The Definitive Edition on November 11th, and PlayStation Now subscribers will get a standalone GTA III – The Definitive Edition on December 7th, when the physical copies will also arrive on store shelves.
