Tom Clancy’s IPs make another jump to F2P

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon series from Ubisoft pops up every couple of years, and just like clockwork it’s been two of ’em since Breakpoint landed on last gen consoles with middle-of-the-road reviews. Now, Ubisoft is looking to reinvigorate the series with a brand new Free to Play entry, Frontline.

Ghost Recon Frontline drops the traditional play for a more battle royale styled experience, featuring over 100 players across environments. It’s still mixing in some tactical play, though it’s more geared towards PVP shootouts. The game will include “advanced class system” as players are grouped in threes and tasked with gathering intel and calling for a ride out of the warzone. More modes are expected later as well.

A closed beta is on the way in Europe, so anyone living there or with a good VPN can register to participate here.
