Okay, NOW we kinda know what this is about
How does an ancient, all-powerful race stay silent on Earth throughout war, famine, and Thanos? Well, they were told to. That seems to be the premise behind the upcoming Marvel film The Eternals. The latest (and Marvel’s “final” plot) trailer gives insight into why these beings stayed out of the limelight after nearly 7000 years.
The Eternals had been sent to Earth not to interfere, but to stand guard in case the Deviants, another ancient race that crashed into the planet, awoke. Now, there’s an “emergence” happening thanks to the immense power that the reverse of the Snap released and the Deviants are stirring.
Featuring a mega-star filled cast that includes Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, and Gemma Chan, the movie will follow the Eternals as they reunite to stop the Deviant apocalypse that’s coming in seven days. The trailer looks like it will firmly address a lot of the post-Infinity War/Endgame phase of the MCU, and help usher in new heroes and threats.
Eternals hits theaters on November 5th.
