Innovation and heart anchor the gaming industry for the big three
This week, the gaming giants took to showcasing the smaller developers on their platforms, and revealed a metric ton of terrific projects on the way. Sony committed a series blog posts, and Xbox and Nintendo held digital showcases showing fans what is going to be filling up their hard drives (hopefully an SSD if you’re lucky). Here’s a roundup of some of the great games on the way.

Axiom Verge 2 has a launch date, and it’s… today! The news sent many a fan of the Metroidvania series in a tizzy, and rightfully so: the first game was terrific. The game is available on Switch and PS4.
Zach talked about Eastward on the latest episode of The SideQuest, and Nintendo had given a bit more info about the Chucklefish game in this latest trailer. It arrives on Switch as a timed console exclusive this September.
Finally, Tetris Effect Connected makes an appearance on yet another platform, finally landing on the Switch. It will arrive later this year for on-the-go multiplayer action.
