HotGameSummer event updates: More Xbox, more indies

And a cancellation-ish

As always, you can find a living list of events taking place this year over on our BIG GUIDEDISCORD, and GOOGLE DOC.

Nintendo is slowly getting back to their regular schedule of digital showcases, as they’ve just announced a new IndieWorld Direct is on the way — tomorrow! This follows indie announcements from Sony and Microsoft this week, and will likely mean that some of the games announced in those events will bleed into this one. Will we see Hollow Knight Silksong? Or Death’s Door? Or perhaps Disco Elysium (finally)? We’ll find out tomorrow, August 11, at 9AM PT/12PM ET.

Meanwhile, Xbox has announced their pre-Gamescom stream. Taking place the day before Opening Night Live, the event will showcase new info on upcoming Xbox games. Expect some Forza and Halo stuff, alongside some surprises. The show will go live on August 24th at 10AM PT/1PM ET.

During Gamescom itself, the Future Games Show is making another return. Taking place on August 26th, the event promises a few surprises and longer looks at some of the games coming this year and next. It starts at 1PM PT/4PM ET. Source: Gamesradar

And finally, a bit of a bummer news as PAX Australia has been cancelled for 2021. The event, which was scheduled to take place from October 8-10, will instead be held online. More info is expected soon on the change. Source: PAX
