Event will have extensive focus on Bethesda’s Deathloop
Sony missed out on E3’s online news cycle, and thus far hasn’t really done much to stay in the minds of the gaming public since the PS5 launched last year. There have been news bites here and there, but even their take on the Nintendo Direct, dubbed “State of Play,” has been lacking in extensive content. To try and get back into the loop (pun!) the company has announced its next State of Play event.
Taking place this Thursday, July 8 at 2PM PT/5PM ET, the company will share roughly 30 minutes on news from third party publishers, indies and an extended look at Deathloop. Bethesda’s timed exclusive for the PS5 will release in September, and features assassins battling each other in an endless time loop until someone eventually wins. It’s a play on the rogue-lite formula, but more focused on murder and espionage, and from the great minds of Arkane Lyon.
Sony is highlighting that fans shouldn’t expect any news on God of War, Horizon 2, or the PSVR2.
The event will stream on Twitch and YouTube.
