PalWorld has been on our minds, and it should be on yours too

When we first saw Pocket Pair’s PalWorld last weekend, we were instantly in love. We enjoy our monster collecting games, so being able to have our little furry friends (known as Pals here) do some farming for us was a match made in heaven.

And then things took an incredible, emotional turn.

As the absolutely incredible trailer above shows us, we can force our Pals to create weapons for us, which we’ll use to defend our territory or destroy our enemies. But wait, there’s more. Our Pals are kept under some of the, uh, most atrocious working conditions that would not only anger PETA but also OSHA and human rights orgs around the world. And should our Pals get out of line we can use them as weapons or shields, pulverizing them to oblivion. Don’t worry, we’ll get more if we need them. Maybe?

There are definitely some bizarre mashups in this game, but we’re strangely digging it. We just hope we don’t have nightmares afterward.

PalWorld is scheduled to hit Steam in 2022.
