Square Enix shows some love for the hybrid console
During today’s E3 focused Nintendo Direct, the company revealed that several Square Enix games are headed the way of the Switch. Up first, Guardians of the Galaxy will make an arrival in a Cloud Version, effectively streaming the game to the console. Nintendo has been utilizing the concept to get some bigger AAA level games to the Switch, like Hitman 3 and Control, to varied levels of technical success. They do work, and the visuals doo look good, albeit as with any cloud-based game the network is the most important part of the process. Guardians of the Galaxy will launch alongside the other platform versions on October 26th.
Life is Strange Remastered Collection and Life Is Strange: True Colors are hitting the Switch this year in a more physical form. The social adventure games have been a hit series over the last several years, and make their first launch on a Nintendo platform. True Colors arrives September 10th, while the collection will arrive later in 2021.
