Latest in LiS series will arrive all at once instead of episodically
At its Square Enix Presents event today, developer Deck Nine unveiled the next game in the Life is Strange series, True Colors. The series, which had been heralded for breaking barriers and its levels of inclusivity and accessibility, features characters with supernatural abilities, often reflecting their inner battles, navigating the world around them.
In True Colors, players take control of Alex Chen, played by Erika Mori, who has an incredible ability of being an Empath and able to feel the strongest emotions of others. After her brother mysteriously dies, she sets out to uncover the secrets of the small town that may hold the truth.
The game will incorporate enhance motion capture, as well as new music by mxmtoon and Novo Amor, and songs by Radiohead and Phoebe Bridgers. The game will arrive on September 10, 2021 for PC, PlayStation and Xbox platforms. Square Enix also revealed a remastered edition of the series, Life is Strange Remastered Collection, which will contain the original game and LiS: Before the Storm, for release later this year.
