Possibly the definitive collection of Neo Geo Pocket games comes to Switch
“Definitive collection of Neo Geo Pocket games” isn’t something I planned to write in 2021, but here we are. And, frankly, here it is: an actually very good collection of classic games for the niche but loved Neo Geo Pocket Color handheld. We’ve definitely enjoyed some of the games that have popped up on the eShop, and have been looking forward to more. SNK has heard our cries, and is releasing the whole collection of them in their upcoming Neo Geo Pocket Color Selection Vol.1.
The collection includes some of the games we may have already played, but now brings in Metal Slug and Big Tournament Golf, and even the exceedingly rare Dark Arms RPG. We’re looking forward to getting our hands on the collection, as the 10 games are an interesting mix of fighting, RPG, and action, and seeing how they hold up with the newer controls will be key.
