Xenoblade 2’s Pyra & Mythra join Super Smash Bros Ultimate

The two-in-one fighter is the latest sword-wielder to hit the game

More swords! During the big Nintendo Direct, Nintendo has revealed its newest fighter to join Super Smash Bros Ultimate is Pyra/Mythra. Though we know that’s not what most were expecting, it’s certainly welcome to see more female fighters in the game, especially a fighter that’s actually two. The game lists Pyra & Mythra as separate numbers (#79 & #80) but they’re actually selected from the same icon. Pyra/Mythra is one of the lead characters of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 on the Switch, and is the first fighter(s) to appear from that game. They’ll presumably bring in new music and the stage seen in the trailer above.

Pyra/Mythra are the 4th fighter in the Fighters Pass Vol. 2 for the game, and will arrive in March. More information will be revealed at a later date prior to launch.
